Advent 2025: Practicing the Beatitudes While You Wait

“The one who has hope lives differently.” - Pope Benedict XVI, Spe Salvi

“...and hope does not disappoint because the love of God has been poured into us….” - Romans 5:5

What could be more hopeful than the expectation of a new life? Several team members behind Catholic Women in Business have welcomed new children or grandchildren this year. They, perhaps like you, can attest to the hope that permeates a family awaiting a homecoming.

Others among us have given life to new business concepts, or taken a turn on our career paths. Each step has been taken with a hopeful heart.

Of course all our hopes for our families and our businesses pale in comparison to the hope available for all of us during the season of Advent. Just as expectant parents - and grandparents - can get tired of waiting, so can all of us. “Jesus, when will the baby arrive?” “Jesus, where are the clients?” “Jesus, come fix it!” “Jesus, are you here yet?” How do we wait with hope during what the world has turned into a season of chaos?

This year Catholic Women in Business invites you to dive deeper into the promises of God found in the Beatitudes. Learning how to live poor in spirit, meekly, pure in heart and as peacemakers multiplies our hope. By focusing on our great heavenly reward, we truly can rejoice and be glad every day leading up to Jesus’ return. We will live – and work – differently.

We invite you to join us throughout Advent by following along with our content, praying about it and discussing it with your family and friends. Join our free Facebook group to discuss the dynamic content with other women around the world.

May God bless you with hope, peace, joy and love as you await the coming of His kingdom.
